Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 1996 🢒 Seville 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.0L and 4.6L 🢒 Valve Lifter Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left side cam cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (Left) .
  2. Remove the right side cam cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (Right) .
  3. Remove the camshaft for the head being worked on. Refer to Camshaft Replacement .

    4. Important: Retain the valve lifters so that they can be reinstalled in the same bores from which they were removed.

  4. Remove the valve lifter(s) and store the lifters on their camshaft faces so that the residual oil is retained.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the valve lifters into the same bores from which they were removed.
  2. Install the camshafts. Refer to Camshaft Replacement .
  3. Install the left hand cam cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (Left) .
  4. Install the right hand cam cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (Right) .
