Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the headlamp filler panel. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Remove the engine cross brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace in Body Front End.
  3. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  4. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

    5. Object Number: 72196 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the 2 hoses from the surge tank.
  6. Remove the surge tank.
  7. Transfer the coolant level sensor to the new surge tank.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 72196 Size: SH
  1. Install the surge tank.
  2. Connect the surge tank hoses to the surge tank.
  3. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  4. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  5. Install the engine cross brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace in Body Front End.
  6. Install the headlamp filler panel. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Body Front End.
