The steering column tilt/telescoping module (TTM) receives a input from the tilt/telescope switch when the switch is pressed . The TTM recognizes this input and moves the steering column in the appropriate direction.
When the TTM detects two simultaneous inputs for more than two seconds, the module considers the inputs invalid and sets the DTC.
• | The TTM no longer moves the steering column in the direction of the invalid inputs. |
• | The TTM continues to respond to valid inputs from the other manual switches. |
• | The TTM determines that the tilt/telescope switch is no longer active. |
• | Use the On-Boards clearing DTCs feature. |
• | Use a scan tool. |
