Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement Left

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105527  Size: SH
  1. Remove fasteners (1) at rear edge of insulators to disengage from lower IP.
  2. Push in on the snap tab retainers to release.

  3. Object Number: 105529  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect electrical connectors (1 and 3) as necessary.

  5. Object Number: 105526  Size: SH
  6. Slide insulator (2) rearward in vehicle to clear emergency brake bracket (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105526  Size: SH
  1. Slide insulator (2) over the top of the emergency brake bracket (1).

  2. Object Number: 105529  Size: SH
  3. Reconnect electrical connectors (1 and 3).

  4. Object Number: 105527  Size: SH
  5. Set forward edge onto shelf on carpeting at front of vehicle.
  6. Align insulator to floor duct at HVAC module.
  7. Align the snap tab fasteners to the IP lower and push upward to engage.
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install fasteners (1) into lower IP.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the insulator fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  1. Remove fasteners (1) at rear edge of insulators to disengage from lower IP.

  5. Slide insulator (3) rearward in vehicle.

  1. Set forward edge onto shelf on carpeting at front of vehicle.
  2. Reconnect electrical connectors (1 and 2).

  3. Object Number: 105524  Size: SH
  4. Align insulator to floor duct at HVAC module.
  5. Align the snap tab fasteners to the IP lower and push upward to engage.
