Was the entire Exterior Lights System Check performed?

Backprobe the rear compartment relay center connector with a DMM from cavity B3 (ORN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 6

1. Place the gear selector lever in the PARK position.
2. Backprobe the rear compartment relay center connector with a DMM from cavity B1 (WHT) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

1. Place the headlamp switch in the LH PARK position.
2. Backprobe the rear compartment relay center connector with a DMM from cavity B1 (WHT) to cavity A3 (LT  GRN).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 8

Replace the POSN LP L relay in the rear compartment relay center. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the POSN LP L relay replacement complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Repair the open in CKT 3140 (ORN) between S401 and the rear compartment relay center. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Repair the open in CKT 1430 (WHT) between the rear compartment relay center connector cavity A4 and cavity B1. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

1. Disconnect the headlamp switch connector.
2. Remove the POSN LP L relay from the rear compartment relay center.
3. Connect a DMM from the rear compartment relay center connector cavity A3 (LT GRN) to the headlamp switch connector cavity A4 (LT GRN).

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 10

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the headlamp switch replacement complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Repair the open in CKT 1431 (LT GRN) between the rear compartment relay center and the headlamp switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?
