Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel center trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  3. Remove the heater and A/C control and navigation display module bracket fasteners.
  4. Pull the heater and A/C control and navigation display bracket out far enough to disconnect the electrical connectors from the navigation display module.
  5. Remove the navigation module retaining screws.
  6. Remove the navigation module from the module bracket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the navigation module to the module bracket.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the navigation module retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the navigation retaining screws to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connectors to the navigation module.
  6. Install the heater and A/C control and navigation module bracket retainers.
  7. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  8. Install the instrument panel center trim plate. Refer to Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement .
