Arming the Theft Deterrent System

1. Close all the vehicle doors.
2. Turn ON the ignition.

The SECURITY indicator turns off when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the key from the ignition switch.

The SECURITY indicator remains off.

Open the driver door (Test may be performed on the passenger door.)

The SECURITY indicator flashes.

1. Open the driver door.
2. Press the driver power door LOCK button (Test may be performed on the passenger door.)

The SECURITY indicator stops flashing and remains on continuously.

Press the LOCK button on the remote transmitter.

The SECURITY indicator stops flashing and remains on continuously.

Close the driver door, passenger door, rear compartment lid and hood (export).

The SECURITY indicator turns off after approximately 30 seconds. The system is now armed.

Perform any one of the following functions to activate an armed theft deterrent system and to simulate an illegal entry:

Use the key to unlock the driver door or the passenger door.

The alarm disarms.

Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Alarm Mode Inoperative

Press the UNLOCK button on the remote transmitter.

The alarm disarms.
