Arming the CTD system
Use the following procedure in order to arm the system:
- Close the rear compartment lid and hood (export only).
- Close all the windows and place the shift lever in P (park).
- Ignition switch in OFF.
- Open any door.
- Lock the doors with the power door lock switch or the LOCK button
on the transmitter.
- Close all doors. The system is now armed.
Important: The system is not armed if the doors are locked manually, the power
door lock switch or remote transmitter must be used to arm the CTD system.
Locking the vehicle without arming the CTD system
Use one of the following procedures in order to lock the vehicle without
arming the CTD system:
1. | Lock the vehicle using the manual door locks. |
2. | Use the key to lock the door. |
Disarming the CTD System
• | To disarm the CTD system in standby mode (SECURITY indicator flashing
and door(s) open). |
- | Press the power door unlock switch. |
- | Press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter. |
• | To disarm the CTD system in delayed mode or armed mode. |
- | Use the key to unlock the LH front door. |
- | Press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter. |
Important: Using the power door unlock switch or manually unlocking the doors does
not disable the CTD arm mode. Also, disconnecting the battery or pulling
fuses does not disable the arm mode, since the RIM stores the CTD mode status
in EEPROM.
Deactivating the CTD System in Alarm Mode
To deactivate the CTD system in alarm mode (horns sounding intermittently
and exterior lamps flashing).
• | Use the key to unlock the LH front door. |
• | Press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter. |
Important: Using the power door unlock switch or manually unlocking the doors does
not disable the CTD alarm mode. Also, disconnecting the battery or pulling
fuses does not disable the alarm mode, since the RIM stores the CTD mode
status in EEPROM.
