Body Control Module Replacement Rear Integration Module RIM

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 130882  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  4. Remove the Rear Integration Module (RIM) connectors (3).

  5. Object Number: 105316  Size: SH
  6. Remove nuts (2) retaining the electronics bay board (1) to the vehicle.
  7. Remove the electronics bay board (1) from the vehicle.

  8. Object Number: 105350  Size: SH
  9. Remove the RIM (2) from the electronics bay board (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105350  Size: SH
  1. Install the RIM (2) to the electronics bay board (1).

  2. Object Number: 105316  Size: SH
  3. Install the electronics bay board (1) to the vehicle.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install nuts (2) to retain the electronics bay board (1) to the vehicle.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 5 N·m  (44 lb in).

  7. Install the Rear Inegration Module (RIM) connectors (3).
  8. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  9. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  10. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

Body Control Module Replacement Dash Integration Module DIM

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 287686  Size: SH
  1. Remove right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  2. Slide the Dash Integration Module (DIM) from bracket on cowl next to ACM.

  3. Object Number: 287679  Size: SH
  4. Remove the electrical connectors as necessary.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 287679  Size: SH
  1. Install electrical connectors.

  2. Object Number: 287686  Size: SH
  3. Slide DIM into bracket until secure.
  4. Install right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.

Body Control Module Replacement Heater and A/C Control/IPM

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 287815  Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel center trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  3. Remove the control assembly.

  5. Remove the control assembly bracket fasteners.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the control assembly.

  7. Object Number: 288103  Size: SH
  8. Remove the control assembly retaining nuts.
  9. Remove the control assembly from the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 288103  Size: SH
  1. Install the control assembly to the bracket.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the control assembly retaining nuts
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the radio retaining nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the control assembly.
  6. Install the control assembly bracket fasteners.

  7. Object Number: 287815  Size: SH
  8. Install the control assembly to vehicle.
  9. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  10. Install the instrument panel center trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
