Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 289543  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.

  3. Object Number: 289546  Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine oil cooler line and retaining clip from the cooler fitting.

  5. Object Number: 130735  Size: SH
  6. Remove the engine oil cooler line retainer from radiator.

  7. Object Number: 130748  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the engine oil cooler lines from the engine.
  9. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the vehicle.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil cooler line to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install a new engine oil cooler quick connect fitting.
  4. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the engine.

  5. Object Number: 130735  Size: SH
  6. Install the engine oil cooler line retainer to the retainer.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil cooler line retainer to 8 N·m (70 lb in).

  8. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  9. Lower vehicle.
  10. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the radiator.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil cooler line to 20 N·m(15 lb ft).

  12. Check the engine oil level.
