Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Put the wiper arms in the park position.
  3. Disconnect the wiper nozzle hose from the washer hose connector.

    4. Object Number: 306442 Size: SH
  4. Remove the cover from the nut.
  5. Remove the nut from the wiper arm assembly and the wiper transmission assembly drive shaft.

    6. Important: If the wiper arm assembly cannot be removed from the wiper transmission assembly drive shaft by rocking, a battery terminal puller may be used with the windshield wipers in midwipe.

  6. Remove the wiper arm assembly from the wiper transmission assembly drive shaft by rocking.

  7. Remove the wiper blade assembly from the wiper arm assembly.
    8. 7.1. Push in the button of the wiper blade assembly clip and remove the wiper blade assembly from inside the radius of the wiper arm assembly.
    7.2. Bring the wiper arm assembly out through the opening in the wiper blade assembly.

  8. Remove the push in retainer caps (1) from the air inlet grille panel.

    9. Object Number: 105295 Size: SH
  9. Remove the push in retainers (2) retaining the air inlet grille panel (1).

    10. Object Number: 105293 Size: SH
  10. Disconnect the washer hose connector (2).
  11. Push the washer hose grommet (3) into the plenum area.
  12. Remove the air inlet grille panel (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 105293 Size: SH
  1. Position the washer hose and the washer hose grommet (3) through the hole in the plenum area.
  2. Press the washer hose grommet (3) into position and ensure that the grommet is fully seated.
  3. Install the air inlet grille panel (1) to the vehicle.
  4. Connect the washer hose connector (2).

  5. Install the push in retainers (2) to retain the air inlet grille panel (1).

    6. Object Number: 105297 Size: SH
  6. Install the push in retainer caps (1) to the air inlet grille panel.

    7. Object Number: 343204 Size: SH
  7. Install the wiper blade assembly on the wiper arm assembly.

    8. Important: The wiper system must be in the park position when installing the wiper arms. If the wiper system is not in the park position, damage to the wiper system and the vehicle will occur.

  8. Park the wipers if they are at the mid-wipe position.

    Important: Clean the wiper transmission drive shaft knurls with a wire brush.

  9. Install the wiper arm onto the pivot shaft while aligning the wiper blade with the locating marks on the windshield. If the windshield does not have locating marks, locate the center of the blades to the distance shown up from the base of the windshield.
    10. • Passenger Side -- 84.6 mm (3.33 in)
    • Driver Side -- 84.4 mm (3.32 in)
  10. Install the nut on the wiper transmission assembly drive shaft and the wiper arm assembly.

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  11. Install the cover onto the nut.

    12. Important: Lubricate the washer hose with the windshield washer solvent to ease installation on the washer nozzle.

  12. Connect the wiper nozzle hose to the washer hose connector.
  13. Operate the wiper and the washers and check for proper operation.
  14. Close the hood.
