Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 105347 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear compartment lid latch.

    5. Object Number: 105346 Size: SH
  5. Remove the latch release cable (3) from the rear compartment lid (5).
  6. Remove the bolts (1) retaining the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
  7. Remove the rear compartment lid latch (2) from the rear compartment lid (5).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 105346 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the bolts (1) to retain the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts (1) to 25 N·m  (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the latch release cable (3) to the rear compartment lid (5).

  4. Object Number: 105347 Size: SH
  5. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear compartment lid latch.
  6. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  7. Close the rear compartment lid.
