Tthe Navigation Data Processor contains a data storage area which can save pertinent data when the ignition is turned off. The Keep Alive Memory (KAM) data is lost if battery power is removed from the Navigation Data Processor. The KAM area is an integral part of the microprocessor and cannot be serviced seperately.
This test will run no less than once every 300 milliseconds.
The Navigation Data Processor losses battery positive voltage.
The Navigation Data Processor KAM data resets to initial values.
• | A cycle of the Ignition Switch will be required to clear the current DTC. |
• | A history DTC will clear using a scan tool. |
If DTC sets without a battery disconnect, ensure good terminal contact at pin 5 of the Navigation Data Processor connector C1.
