Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check or Wiper/Washer System Check

1. Disconnect the harness connector from the wiper motor.
2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
3. Set the wiper switch to LO.
4. Connect a test light from the wiper motor connector (harness side), terminal H, to ground.

Is the test light ON?

Go to Step 3

Inspect for an open in CKT 477.

Is an open present?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 477.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check or Wiper/Washer System Check

Replace the Wiper/Washer Switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check or Wiper/Washer System Check

--

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement . Observe the position of the wiper motor cover terminal T2.
3. Connect a jumper from the wiper motor housing to ground.
4. Connect a fused jumper (10 amp) from battery voltage to the wiper motor terminal that connects to the wiper motor cover terminal T2.

Did the wiper motor operate?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Replace the wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check or Wiper/Washer System Check

Replace the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?
