J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator

1. Remove the wiper arm and blade assemblies. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
2. Remove the air inlet screen. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the transmission drive link socket from the wiper motor crank arm using the J 39232 .




Important: Rotate the transmission as necessary to extract from the plenum.

4. Remove six screws and the transmission from the vehicle.

Tools Required

J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer

1. Install the transmission on the vehicle with six screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 8 N·m (70 lb in).




2. Install the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm ball using the J 39529 . Ensure that the socket is fully seated on the ball.
3. Install the air inlet screen. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
4. Install the wiper arm and blade assemblies. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
