Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side LHD

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105524  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fasteners (1) at the rear edge of the insulator to disengage from the lower instrument panel (IP).
  2. Push in on the snap tab retainers to release.

  3. Object Number: 105525  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1, 2) as necessary.
  5. Slide the insulator (3) rearward in the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105525  Size: SH
  1. Set the forward edge of the panel onto shelf on carpeting at front of vehicle.
  2. Reconnect electrical connectors (1, 2).

  3. Object Number: 105524  Size: SH
  4. Align the insulator to the floor duct at the HVAC module.
  5. Align the snap tab fasteners to the IP lower and push upward to engage.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the insulator fasteners (1) into the lower IP.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105527  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fasteners (1) at the rear edge of insulator .
  2. Push on the left and right retainers at the rear edge of insulator to disengage from the lower IP.

  3. Object Number: 105529  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1, 3) as necessary.

  5. Object Number: 105526  Size: SH
  6. Slide the insulator (2) rearward in the vehicle to clear the emergency brake bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105526  Size: SH
  1. Slide the insulator (2) over the top of the emergency brake bracket.

  2. Object Number: 105529  Size: SH
  3. Reconnect the electrical connectors (1, 3).

  4. Object Number: 105527  Size: SH
  5. Set the forward edge of the panel onto shelf on carpeting at front of vehicle.
  6. Align the insulator to the floor duct at the HVAC module.
  7. Align the snap tab fasteners to the IP lower and push upward to engage.
