Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 106144 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the headrest. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt anchor bolt.

    4. Object Number: 106143 Size: SH
  4. Separate the front trim cover from the rear seat shoulder belt retractor.
  5. Remove the lower retractor nut.

    6. Object Number: 106142 Size: SH
  6. Remove the retractor through bolt.
  7. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt and retractor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 106142 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear seat shoulder belt retractor tabs into the notches on the hinge box reinforcement ears.
  2. Rotate the rear seat shoulder belt retractor over the stud.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear seat shoulder belt retractor through bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat shoulder belt retractor through bolt to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  4. Install the rear seat shoulder belt retractor nut.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat shoulder belt retractor nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Install the front trim cover.

    6. Object Number: 106144 Size: SH
  6. Verify that the belt is not twisted.
  7. Align the anchor plate between the dimples in the floor pan with the plate facing forward.
  8. Install the anchor bolt.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat outer lower bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  9. Install the rear headrest. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement in Seats.
  10. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
