Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Pull back on the rear compartment trim panel.

  4. Object Number: 105155  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the tail lamp connector (3).
  6. Press the grommet (2) out of the rear compartment.
  7. Remove the nuts (5) retaining the tail lamp (1) to the body.
  8. Remove the tail lamp (1) from the body.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105155  Size: SH
  1. Route the tail lamp connector (3) and the grommet (2) through the body.
  2. Verify that the grommet (2) is fully seated in the body.
  3. Install the tail lamp (1) to the body.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the nuts (5) that retain the tail lamp (1) to the body.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).

  7. Connect the tail lamp connector (3).
  8. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement in Body Rear End.
  9. Close the rear compartment lid.
