Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  4. Remove the fascia extensions. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement in Bumpers.

  5. Object Number: 105161  Size: SH
  6. Remove the bolts (1) securing the front bumper fascia (3) to the front fender (2).

  7. Object Number: 105159  Size: SH
  8. Remove the nuts (2) securing the stud plate (3) on the front bumper fascia (4) to the front fender (1).

  9. Object Number: 105162  Size: SH
  10. Remove the lower push-in retainers (3) securing the front bumper fascia (1) to the front impact bar (4).
  11. Remove the upper push-in retainers (2) securing the front bumper fascia (1) to the front impact bar (4).
  12. Remove the front bumper fascia (1) and the front energy absorber (5) from the front impact bar (4).
  13. Remove the energy absorber. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the energy absorber. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 105160  Size: SH
  3. Verify that the push nuts (3) are intact and secure in the bottom of the front fender (2).

  4. Object Number: 105162  Size: SH
  5. Position the front bumper fascia (1) and the front energy absorber (5) to the front impact bar (4).
  6. Install the push-in retainers (3) to the upper front bumper fascia (1) to the front impact bar (4).
  7. Install the push-in retainers (2) to the lower front bumper fascia (1) to the front impact bar (4).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the nuts (2) in order to secure the stud plate (3) on the front bumper fascia (4) to the front fender (1).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  11. Install the bolts (1) in order to secure the front bumper fascia (3) to the front fender (2).
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  13. Install the front fascia extensions. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement in Bumpers.
  14. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  15. Lower the vehicle.
  16. Close the hood.
