Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the wheel from the vehicle. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  3. Object Number: 577015  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the sensor harness connector (1) from the vehicle harness connector.
  5. Disconnect 3 sensor harness clips from the vehicle.

  6. Object Number: 577019  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the sensor link (1) from the control arm ball stud (2).

  8. Object Number: 577027  Size: SH
  9. Remove the nut (1) that retains the position sensor (2) to the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 577027  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the position sensor (2) on the vehicle with the retainer nut (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  3. Connect the sensor link (1) to the control arm ball stud (2).
  4. Connect the three sensor harness clips onto the vehicle.

  5. Object Number: 577015  Size: SH
  6. Connect the sensor harness connector (1) to the vehicle harness connector.
  7. Install the wheel onto the vehicle. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Perform trim height adjustment. Refer to Trim Height Specifications .
  10. If equipped with the F55 suspension, use the scan tool in order to perform the Bump Stop Trim Set procedure.
