Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2003 🢒 Seville 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.6L (LD8 and L37) 🢒 Engine Front Mount Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  3. Support the powertrain with a suitable adjustable support.
  4. Support the front of the frame with a suitable adjustable support.

  5. Remove the front engine mount to frame nut.
  6. Remove the two front frame bolts.
  7. Lower the frame with the adjustable support.

    8. Object Number: 665710 Size: SH
  8. Remove the two lower engine mount bracket nuts.
  9. Remove the one support bracket nut.
  10. Remove the support bracket.
  11. Remove the two upper engine mount bolts
  12. Remove the front engine mount and bracket from the vehicle. Rotate the mount and bracket in a counterclockwise direction to remove from the vehicle.
  13. Remove the nut retaining the mount to the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Make sure when installing the new shield and engine mount to the bracket that the alignment tabs are correctly positioned.

  1. Install the engine mount and shield to the engine mount bracket.
  2. Correctly position the alignment tab on the mount with the shield and bracket.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install and tighten the mount to bracket nut.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front engine mount to bracket nut to 114 N·m (84 lb ft).

  4. Position the bracket, mount and shield onto the vehicle.
  5. Install the two upper bracket bolts.
  6. Install the support brace.
  7. Install the support brace bolt.
  8. Install the two lower bracket nuts. Tighten the bolts in the following sequence.

    9. Tighten

    1. Tighten the two lower engine mount bracket nuts to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the transaxle support brace bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
    3. Tighten the two upper engine mount bracket bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
  9. Using the adjustable support position the frame into place, Making sure the front mount is correctly positioned in the frame.
  10. Install the two frame mount bolts.

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the retainers to 191 N·m (141 lb ft).

  11. Install the front engine mount to frame nut.

    12. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  12. Remove the two adjustable supports.
  13. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  14. Lower the vehicle.
