Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 472982  Size: SH
  4. Remove stabilizer shaft bracket retaining bolt.

  5. Object Number: 105022  Size: SH
  6. Bend open the end of the stabilizer shaft brackets and slide over stabilizer shaft insulators.
  7. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators.
  8. Remove the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105022  Size: SH
  1. Install the stabilizer shaft in position.
  2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft brackets with the slit forward.
  3. Important: Ensure the stabilizer shaft is centered before installing the bracket bolts.

  4. Bend bracket downward to close around the insulator.

  5. Object Number: 472982  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket retaining bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten stabilizer shaft bracket retaining bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  8. Install the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
