The steering column module determines the telescoping position of the steering column based on the following factors:
• | Inputs received from the telescope position sensor that is built into the telescope actuator |
• | The telescoping actuator |
The steering column module supplies a 5-volt reference and a ground to the telescoping position sensor while also monitoring the column position from the telescope position signal circuit.
DTC B1327 is not set as current.
This DTC sets as current when the voltage at the steering column telescope motor signal is less than 0.12 volts for 2 seconds on the telescoping circuit.
The steering column module will not allow the affected motor to work during memory recall or easy exit operations. However, the motor will still operate during manual switch positioning.
• | This DTC will clear from current status when the voltage is greater than 0.12 volts for 2 seconds. |
• | Use a scan tool. |
