Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 130668 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the defroster nozzle screws.
  4. Remove the defroster nozzle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the screws to the defroster nozzle.

    2. Object Number: 130668 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the defroster nozzle with the screws.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  3. Install the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
