Blower Motor Control Processor Replacement LHD

1. Remove the sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
2. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
3. Remove the dash integration module (DIM). Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.
4. Remove the 2 rear DIM bracket screws.
5. Reposition the DIM bracket in order to gain access to the blower control module.



6. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector (1).



7. Disconnect the blower control module electrical connector.



8. Remove the blower control module screw (1).
9. Remove the blower control module.

1. Install the blower control module.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the blower control module screw (1).

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).




3. Connect the blower control module electrical connector.



4. Connect the blower motor electrical connector (1).



5. Reposition the DIM bracket to the original position.
6. Install the 2 rear DIM bracket screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

7. Install the DIM. Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.
8. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
9. Install the right sound insulator. Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

Blower Motor Control Processor Replacement RHD

1. Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.



2. Remove the IP compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
3. Remove the DIM from the bracket.
4. Remove the 2 rear DIM bracket fasteners.
5. Reposition the DIM bracket in order to gain access to the blower control module.



6. Disconnect the blower control module electrical connector.



7. Remove the blower control module retaining screw.
8. Remove the blower control module.

1. Install the blower control module.

2. Install the blower control module retaining screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.4 N·m (12 lb ft).




3. Connect the blower control module electrical connector.
4. Install the DIM bracket and screws.
5. Install the DIM.



6. Install the IP compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
7. Install the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
