Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
- Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
- Remove the seatback trim cover (7). Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement .
- Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
- Remove the seat back frame. Refer to Front Seat Back Frame Replacement .
- Remove the block (2) from the lower seat frame (1).
- Using a flat-bladed tool, disengage the retainer lock from the head restraint/power actuator assembly.
- Firmly hold the seat back frame (1) pull outward the power actuator assembly (2).
- Remove the power actuator assembly from the seat back frame.
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.
Important: Ensure the electrical connector does not catch on the inner seat back frame upon the head restraint/power actuator assembly removal.
Installation Procedure
- Feed the wire harness down through the seatback frame.
- Install the head restraint/power actuator assembly (2).
- Carefully apply pressure to the head restraint/power actuator assembly in order to secure the retainer locks (3) to the seat back frame (1).
- Install the seat back frame retaining block.
- Ensure the electrical harness is not pinched and moves freely within the block.
- Install the seat back frame. Refer to Front Seat Back Frame Replacement .
- Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
- Install the seatback trim cover. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement .
- Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
- Install the seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Important: Ensure the holes are aligned for the block (2) in the seat back frame (1).
