Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the positive battery cable fastener.
  3. Remove the positive battery cable.

  5. Unclip the four retaining clips and lift the electrical fuse block (1) out of the base.

  6. Object Number: 602624  Size: SH
  7. Turn the fuse block over in the base in order to remove the electrical connectors.
  8. Remove the three connector fasteners and remove all the electrical connectors from the fuse block.

  9. Object Number: 602627  Size: SH
  10. Remove the three fasteners (1,3) from the fuse block base (2).
  11. Remove the fuse block base (2) from the vehicle

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuse block base (2) to the body.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fuse block base fasteners (1,3).
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the two base nuts (1) to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
        • Tighten the remaining base bolt (3) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Place the fuse block in the fuse block base, with the bottom up.
  6. Install all the connectors to the fuse block and hand start the fasteners.

    Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 6.6 N·m (58 lb in).

  7. Install the front fuse block (1) into the base assembly.
  8. Ensure all the clips are engaged in order to retain the fuse block (1).

  9. Install the positive battery cable and fastener to the front fuse block.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  11. Connect the negative battery cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
