Removal Procedure
- Remove
the center console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the I/P assembly. Refer to
Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Disconnect the rear blower motor assembly electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the air ducts from the rear blower motor.
- Remove the rear blower motor bracket nuts.
- Remove the bolts retaining the rear blower bracket to the instrument panel.
- Remove the rear blower motor retaining bracket studs.
- Remove the rear blower motor insulator from under the rear blower motor
assembly.
- Push the rear blower motor assembly down.
- Push the rear blower motor assembly forward in order to disengage the
rear air duct.
- Remove the rear blower motor assembly from the passenger side of console.
Installation Procedure
- Install
the rear blower to the original position.
- Engage the rear air duct.
- Install the rear blower motor insulator under the rear blower motor assembly.
- Install the rear blower motor retaining bracket studs.
- Install the bolts retaining the rear blower bracket to the instrument
panel.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the rear blower motor bracket nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in)
- Connect the air duct to the rear blower motor.
- Connect the rear blower motor assembly electrical connectors.
- Install the I/P assembly. Refer to
Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Install the center console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
