J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Important: The upper and center trim cover retainers break easily.

1. Pull outward on the bottom of the seat back trim cover in order to release the lower retainer clips.
2. Use the J 38778 in order to release the center trim cover retainers.
3. Push inward at the top of the seat back trim cover, then carefully pull seat back trim cover straight down in order to release upper trim cover retainer clips.

1. If the center retainers are damaged during removal, replace the retainers with new ones.
2. Position the trim cover upper retainer clips on the seat back frame and push upward in order to engage the retainer clips.
3. Position the center retainers to the seat back frame and push inward in order to secure the center of the cover.

Important: If lower retainers do not easily engage on the frame, the center or upper retainers are probably not fully engaged.

4. Push inward on the bottom of trim cover in order to engage the lower retainer clips in order to engage the bottom of the trim cover.
