Verify that the passenger door power window is inoperative.

Does the passenger door power window operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, command the front psgr. window motor Up and Down.

Does the front psgr. window go Up and Down with each command?

Go to Step 4

  1. With a scan tool, observe the drvr. RF window switch parameter in the Driver Door Module data list.
  2. Activate the drvr. RF window switch Up and Down.

Does the scan tool display Up and Down for the drvr. RF window switch parameter?

Go to Step 5

  1. With a scan tool, observe the front psgr. window switch parameter in the Passenger Door Module data list.
  2. Activate the front psgr. window switch Up and Down.

Does the scan tool display Up and Down for the front psgr. window switch parameter?

Test the passenger door switch ground circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the power window motor front passenger signal circuits for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the passenger door module (PDM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver door switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the passenger window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Perform the power window reinitialization procedure. Refer to Power Window Reinitialization
  2. Replace the passenger door module (PDM). Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .

Replace the driver door switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
