Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2004 🢒 XLR 🢒 Steering 🢒 Steering Wheel and Column 🢒 Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the steering wheel far enough to the left to gain access to the upper to lower intermediate shaft bolts.
  2. Place the ignition in the locked position.

    3. Object Number: 908202 Size: SH
  3. Remove the upper to lower intermediate shaft bolts.
  4. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  5. Remove the upper intermediate steering shaft from inside the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Insert the upper intermediate steering shaft through the intermediate shaft seal from inside the vehicle.
  2. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  3. Slide the lower intermediate shaft over the upper intermediate shaft.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 908202 Size: SH
  4. Install the lower to upper intermediate shafts retaining bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 48 N·m (35 lb ft).
