Navigation Radio CD Error - CD Player Will Not accept Discs - keywords CDX changer display error message pin

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment that the CDX changer will not accept CD's or the display shows CD Error when attempting to play the disc. This may occur when the radio or CDX was serviced for a customer concern. This may be the cause of the "shipping pin" not being removed prior to installing the service part into the vehicle.

Remove the shipping pin from the bottom of the CDX prior to installing into the vehicle. This item is called out as number 1 in the image above. If returning the Navigation radio to the Electronic Service Center, be sure to reinstall the shipping pin.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
