Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the tail lamps. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  4. Object Number: 1212619  Size: SH
  5. Remove the push-in fasteners (2) attaching the top of the rear fascia to the rear end panel.
  6. Remove the fasteners (3) attaching the bottom of the rear fascia to the absorber.
  7. Loosen the rear wheelhouse panels. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement in Body Rear End.
  8. Remove the nuts (1) attaching the fascia to the quarter panels.

  9. Object Number: 1214074  Size: SH
  10. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear park assist wiring harness.
  11. With the aid of an assistant, remove the fascia by pulling the fascia rearward from the vehicle.
  12. Save the brackets, clips, and accessories for transfer to the fascia, if required.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the old brackets, clips, and accessories to the fascia, if required.
  2. With the aid of an assistant, position the fascia to the vehicle.

  3. Object Number: 1214074  Size: SH
  4. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear park assist wiring harness.

  5. Object Number: 1212619  Size: SH
  6. Install the push-in fasteners (2) attaching the top of the rear fascia to the rear end panel.
  7. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  8. Install the nuts (1) attaching the fascia to the quarter panels.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the fasteners (3) that attach the bottom of the rear fascia to the absorber.
  11. Install the rear wheelhouse panels. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement in Body Rear End.
  12. Install the tail lamps. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  13. Close the rear compartment.
