Removal Procedure
- Open the rear compartment.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the tail lamps. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the push-in fasteners (2) attaching the top of the rear fascia to the rear end panel.
- Remove the fasteners (3) attaching the bottom of the rear fascia to the absorber.
- Loosen the rear wheelhouse panels. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement in Body Rear End.
- Remove the nuts (1) attaching the fascia to the quarter panels.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear park assist wiring harness.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the fascia by pulling the fascia rearward from the vehicle.
- Save the brackets, clips, and accessories for transfer to the fascia, if required.
Installation Procedure
- Install the old brackets, clips, and accessories to the fascia, if required.
- With the aid of an assistant, position the fascia to the vehicle.
- Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear park assist wiring harness.
- Install the push-in fasteners (2) attaching the top of the rear fascia to the rear end panel.
- Install the nuts (1) attaching the fascia to the quarter panels.
- Install the fasteners (3) that attach the bottom of the rear fascia to the absorber.
- Install the rear wheelhouse panels. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement in Body Rear End.
- Install the tail lamps. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
- Close the rear compartment.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
