Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Verify that the driver door power window is inoperative.

Does the driver door power window operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, command the driver window motor Up and Down.

Does the driver window go Up and Down with each command?

Go to Step 4

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver door module (DDM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the DDSA. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Important: Perform the power window reinitialization procedure after replacing the door module. Refer to Power Window Reinitialization .

Replace the DDM. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup and programming.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
