Important: Before performing any panel adjustment procedures, refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications .

Important: Before making any adjustments, evaluate which panel must be adjusted and why.

When the folding top is closed and latched, if the rear compartment lid is properly aligned with the surrounding panels, but is vertically misaligned to the rear folding top panel, adjust the position of the folding top panel by adding or removing shims to the folding top panel link. Refer to Up/Down Adjustment Procedure below.

Fore/Aft and Cross Car Adjustment Procedure
  1. Manually position the folding top panel so that the top is resting unlatched on the windshield header, with the locating pins in the receivers. Refer to Folding Top Manual Operation .

    2. Object Number: 1274144 Size: SH
  2. Lower the rear compartment partition (1).
  3. Place a protective covering over the interior of the rear compartment and the adjacent body panels.

    4. Object Number: 1251435 Size: SH
  4. Loosen the bolts (1) on the folding top panel.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Apply LOCTITE™ Blue, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts.
  6. Adjust the panel as necessary. Tighten the bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  7. Manually close the folding top. Refer to Folding Top Manual Operation .
  8. Verify that the folding top panel is properly aligned. Refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications .
  9. Repeat the adjustment procedure as necessary.
  10. Remove the protective covering.

  11. Raise the rear compartment partition (1).
  12. Cycle the folding top under power through one complete cycle in both directions.
  13. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation .

Up/Down Adjustment Procedure
  1. Manually position the folding top panel so that the top is resting unlatched on the windshield header, with the locating pins in the receivers. Refer to Folding Top Manual Operation .

    2. Object Number: 1274144 Size: SH
  2. Lower the rear compartment partition (1).
  3. Place a protective covering over the interior of the rear compartment and the adjacent body panels.

    4. Object Number: 1251435 Size: SH
  4. Loosen the bolts (1) on the folding top panel.
  5. Note the number and location of any shims (2) that may be present.
  6. With the aid of an assistant, add or remove shims to obtain the necessary adjustment.

    7. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  7. Apply LOCTITE™ Blue, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts.
  8. Adjust the panel as necessary. Tighten the bolts.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  9. Manually close the folding top. Refer to Folding Top Manual Operation .
  10. Verify that the folding top panel is properly aligned. Refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications .
  11. Repeat the adjustment procedure as necessary.
  12. Remove the protective covering.
