  1. Turn the windshield wiper/washer switch OFF.
  2. Turn ON the ignition.

Are the windshield wipers always ON?

Go to Step 3

Are the windshield wipers always ON in high speed?

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the wiper HI/LO relay.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Are the windshield wipers always ON?

Go to Step 5

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Test the windshield wiper motor high speed control circuit for a short to B+. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 24

  1. Reconnect the wiper HI/LO relay.
  2. Disconnect the windshield wiper/washer switch.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Are the windshield wipers always ON?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the outside moisture sensor.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Are the windshield wipers always ON?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Repair the wiper HI/LO relay control circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  2. Disconnect the wiper ON/OFF relay.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Are the windshield wipers always ON?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Test the windshield wiper motor low speed control circuit for a short to B+. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Reconnect the wiper ON/OFF relay.
  3. Disconnect the windshield wiper/washer switch.
  4. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Are the windshield wipers always ON?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the outside moisture sensor.
  3. Test the windshield wiper switch low signal circuit for a short to ground or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the outside moisture sensor.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Are the windshield wipers always ON?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the connector 1 of the BCM.
  3. Disconnect the windshield wiper switch signal 2 circuit from the BCM.
  4. Reconnect the connector 1 of the BCM.
  5. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Is the windshield washer pump always ON?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Repair the windshield wiper motor low speed control circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Inspect for poor connections at the windshield wiper motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Reconnect all previous disconnected circuits or connectors.
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
