Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.

  2. Object Number: 929126  Size: SH
  3. Remove the plastic retainer (1) from the upper neck of the washer solvent container filler tube (2). The filler is located next to the master cylinder.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Important: Ensure that the hoist is clear of the left front fender, to allow the lower fender to be moved away from the chassis for clearance.

  6. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

  8. Remove the left front, lower wheelhouse splash shield fasteners (1,  2,  3). Note the position of the fender for installation alignment.

  9. Object Number: 929131  Size: SH
  10. Disconnect the output hose (4) from the washer pump. Drain the contents into a suitable container.
  11. Disconnect the headlamp washer output hose (1) by sliding the lock (5) and pulling off the hose.
  12. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from both washer pumps, and the level sensor.

  13. Object Number: 929135  Size: SH
  14. Remove the washer solvent container mounting bolts (1,  2).
  15. Remove the washer solvent container. Hold the fender away for clearance.

Installation Procedure

  1. Transfer washer pumps and level sensor to replacement container.
  2. Place the washer solvent container into mounting position.
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the washer solvent container mounting bolts (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connectors (3) to the washer pumps, and to the level sensor.
  7. Connect the washer pump output hose (4) to the pump.
  8. Connect the headlamp washer output hose (1) to the washer pump. Seat the slide-lock (5) hose clamp.

  9. Object Number: 929129  Size: SH
  10. Align the fender, and install the left front lower wheelhouse splash shield, and fasteners (1,  2,  3).
  11. Install the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Install a new plastic retainer onto the washer solvent container fill tube.
  14. Refill the washer solvent container.
  15. • Inspect the operation of the headlamp washer pump
    • Inspect the operation of the windshield washer pump
    • Inspect the operation of the level sensor and warning lamp
