DEFINITION: The security indicator does illuminate to correctly indicate the status of the content theft deterrent (CTD) system.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Observe the SECURITY indicator on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) during the bulb check.

Does the SECURITY indicator illuminate during the bulb check?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement In Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step  4

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
