Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2005 🢒 XLR 🢒 Steering 🢒 Power Steering System 🢒 Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the power steering pump from the bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
  2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    3. Object Number: 1334646 Size: SH
  3. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
  4. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering gear.

    5. Object Number: 1334629 Size: SH
  5. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1334629 Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering pressure hose to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering gear.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  3. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Install the power steering pump to the bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
  6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
