Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the driver information center retaining screw.
  3. Disconnect the driver information center from the I/P.
  4. Disconnect the inside air temperature sensor from the driver information center bezel.

  5. Object Number: 922611  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the inside air temperature sensor electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the inside air temperature sensor electrical connector.
  2. Important: Ensure that the inside temperature sensor is fully seated into the driver information center bezel.

  3. Install the inside air temperature sensor.
  4. Connect the driver information center to the I/P.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the driver information center retaining screw.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  8. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
