Navigation Inoperative. Possible Wrong Map Disc - kw display DVD radio map U2V U3R YQ4 GMT265 GMX215 GMX270 GMX295

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Technician may comment that the navigation system is inoperative, most likely after replacing or swapping the map DVD.

Several different map DVDs may use the same graphic and appear to be identical. Ensure the correct map DVD is being used for the vehicle you are working on. Compatible map DVD part numbers are as follows: 2005 STS: part number DVDs that could be used for STS navigation systems are: 10362485 and 10381281. Part number 10381281 is the most current. XLR/SRX/DTS/Seville: part number DVDs that could be used for XLR/SRX/DTS/Seville navigation systems are: 25767790, 25753025, 25737698 and 10389450. Part number 10389450 is the most current.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
