The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
When programming a 2005 Cadillac with LH2 engine, the dealer may encounter various concerns.
Various "quirks" with E22.
• | Battery voltage during flash (Must be between 11.5 and 15 volts). |
• | Ambient and coolant temperature during reflash (i.e. if you are below 5C or 40F, the vehicle will go into "reduced power" on startup due to insufficient throttle learn). |
• | It is very likely that a P2119 will set after a reflash due to low system voltage. |
• | If the VIN is not properly entered into the ECM, a P0315 will continue to set until ECM VIN matches BCM. |
• | Anytime an ECM, crank sensors, crankshaft and/or engine are replaced, a CASE learn must be performed. |
• | After performing a CASE learn, the ECM must do a proper power down to store the CASE values or a P0315 will continue to set until values are stored. |
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
