This PI has been revised to add extra model and additional years. Please discard PIC3041.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When performing diagnosis using the Tech 2 on the vehicles listed above, you may notice that the Steering Column Lock Module (SCLM) may show no communication. The SCLM is only equipped on Export vehicles and the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette with a manual transmission.
Recommendation/Instructions:
It is normal for the SCLM to show no communication on vehicles not equipped with Steering Column Lock.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
