DTC Descriptor

DTC B2468: Navigation Display Unit Performance

Circuit Description

The circuitry is internal to the navigation radio. The Navigation ECU performs self diagnostics and sets the DTC if any malfunctions are detected.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • Radio ON.
    • Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The navigation radio is unable to write to memory and the test detects a computation error.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • Black screen and the audio cannot be changed.
    • The TV screen adjustment settings change to the default settings.
    • The navigation screens may or may not be available.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists.
    • A history DTC will clear once 50 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles have occurred.

Diagnostic Aids

DTC B2468 may be stored as a history DTC with out affecting the operation of the module. If stored as a history DTC and not retrieved as a current DTC, do not replace the module.

Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, with a scan tool clear all DTCs.
  2. Ignition ON, operate the navigation system within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
  3. If the DTC resets, replace the radio.

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
