The driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) are responsible for checking the critical temperature of their respective window motors at least once every 50 milliseconds. When the DDM or PDM detects a critical temperature in the window motor, a DTC will be set. For more detailed information concerning power window operation refer to Power Windows Description and Operation .
Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts.
When the DDM or PDM detects a critical temperature in the window motor, DTC B1011 will be set.
• | Window indexing down is still functional. |
• | Normal functional requests are possible until the window is completely closed. |
• | The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists. |
• | You issue a scan tool CLEAR DTCs command. |
The following conditions may cause an intermittent malfunction:
• | An intermittent sticking or binding window causing excessive current draw resulting in a critical temperature fault |
