Cleaning Procedure
  1. Clean the oil filter adapter in solvent.

    2. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Dry the oil filter adapter with compressed air.

Inspection Procedure

    Object Number: 1644425 Size: SH
  1. Inspect the exterior of the oil filter adapter for the following:
    2. • Damage to the mounting holes (1)
    • Damage to the oil filter adapter plug hole threads (3)
    • Damage to the oil pressure switch hole threads (2)
    • Blockage in the oil filter adapter hole passage (3)
    • Damage to the oil cooler line fitting hole threads (4)
    •  Blockage in the oil cooler line passages (4)

  2. Inspect the interior of the oil filter adapter for the following:
    3. • Damage to the mounting surface (1)
    • Damage to the oil filter sealing surface (2)
    • Damage to the oil filter fitting hole threads (3)
    • Blockage in the oil filter fitting hole (3)
    • Blockage to the inlet and outlet passages (4)
  3. Repair or replace the oil filter adapter as necessary.
