🢒 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Rear Panel Replacement
Removal Procedure
Place the folding top in the down position.
Place a protective covering over the interior of the vehicle and the adjacent body panels.
Open the rear compartment.
Locate the hydraulic pump beneath the carpet in the storage compartment on the driver side of the trunk.
Turn the bypass valve (1) counterclockwise until the valve stops.
Pull the over-center links (1) down to unlock the storage compartment panel.
Pull the closeout panel rearward.
Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the bolts (2) and the nuts (1) to the link.
With the aid of an assistant, remove the bolts and the nuts from the storage compartment panel.
Remove the storage compartment panel from the vehicle.
Disassembly Procedure
Remove the storage compartment trim panel. Refer to

Remove the storage compartment panel seal. Refer to

Assembly Procedure
Install the storage compartment panel seal. Refer to
Folding Top Storage Compartment Panel Seal Replacement - Rear
.
Install the storage compartment trim panel. Refer to
Folding Top Storage Compartment Panel Trim Replacement - Rear
.
Installation Procedure
With the aid of an assistant, position the storage compartment panel to the vehicle.
Hand start the storage compartment panel bolts (2) and nuts (1). Do NOT tighten.
Apply LOCTITE™ Blue, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts.
Notice:
Refer to

in the Preface section.
Align the bolts and the nuts to the grease marks on the link.
Tighten
•
Tighten the bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
•
Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
Push the closeout panel to the down position.
Push the over-center links (1) up to lock the storage compartment panel.
Turn the hydraulic pump bypass valve (1) clockwise until the valve stops.
Remove the protective covering.
Install the support and the carpet over the hydraulic pump.
Close the rear compartment.
Verify that the storage compartment panel is properly aligned. Refer to
Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications
.
Adjust the storage compartment panel, if required. Refer to
Folding Top Stowage Compartment Panel Adjustment - Rear
.
Cycle the folding top under power through one complete cycle in both directions.
Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to
Power Folding Top Description and Operation
.
