Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement.
- Remove the retainer screws from the back of the door trim panel.
- Remove the upper trim from the door.
- Remove the energy absorber from the door panel.
- Remove the 4 retaining screws from the rear of the armrest and 1 screw from the forward end of the armrest assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the armrest assembly.
- Remove the front door switch assembly from the pocket in the door trim panel.
- Disconnect the door switch electrical connector.
- Remove the door switch assemblies from the door switch bezel.
Important: Use care when removing and installing the switch bezel assembly, because the bezel is easily damaged. Prior to removal, apply duct tape to protect the finish.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door switch assemblies to the door switch bezel. Push to engage the switch to the bezel.
- Connect the door switch electrical connector.
- Install the front door switch assembly to the pocket in the door trim panel.
- Remove any protective tape prior to installation of the armrest.
- Connect the electrical connector to the armrest assembly.
- Install the 4 retaining screws to the rear of the armrest and 1 screw to the forward end of the armrest assembly.
- Install the energy absorber to the door panel.
- Install the upper trim to the door.
- Install the retainer screws to the back of the door trim panel.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
