Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1272532 Size: SH
  1. Remove the energy absorber from the inner door panel.
  2. Remove 4 retaining screws at the rear of the armrest and 1 screw at the forward end.

    3. Object Number: 1271088 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the armrest electrical connectors and remove the armrest assembly.

    4. Object Number: 1271409 Size: SH
  4. Remove the pull trim cover from the armrest. Pull to disengage the retainers.
  5. Remove the retaining screws which secure the applique to the armrest.
  6. Remove the applique from the armrest.

    7. Object Number: 1271087 Size: SH
  7. Remove the retaining screws from the inside handle bezel.
  8. Remove the bezel from the armrest.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1271409 Size: SH
  1. Install the inside handle bezel to the armrest.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the retaining screws to the inside handle bezel.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  3. Install the applique to the armrest.
  4. Install the retaining screws which secure the applique to the armrest.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the pull trim cover to the armrest. Push to engage the retainers.

    6. Object Number: 1271088 Size: SH
  6. Connect the armrest electrical connectors.
  7. Install the armrest assembly to the door trim panel. Insert 4 retaining screws at the rear of the armrest and 1 screw at the forward end.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the energy absorber to the inner door panel.
  9. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
