Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  4. Remove the fuel pocket. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Door Replacement .

  5. Remove the nut (1) attaching the quarter panel to the rear compartment stud.

    6. Object Number: 1244909 Size: SH
  6. Remove the nuts (1) attaching the quarter panel to the lower rear compartment stud.

    7. Object Number: 1244940 Size: SH
  7. Remove the door lock pillar seal (1).

    8. Object Number: 1244932 Size: SH
  8. Remove the upper quarter panel seal (1).

    9. Object Number: 1244926 Size: SH
  9. Remove the weatherstrip push-in retainers from the upper quarter panel.
  10. Remove the weatherstrip (1).

    11. Object Number: 1244922 Size: SH
  11. Remove the screws (1) attaching the quarter panel to the door lock pillar and the rear compartment frame.
  12. Remove the quarter panel.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the quarter panel to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1244922 Size: SH
  2. Install the screws (1) attaching the quarter panel to the door lock pillar and the rear compartment frame.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  3. Install the nut (1) attaching the quarter panel to the rear compartment stud.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  4. Hand tighten the nuts (1) attaching the quarter panel to the lower rear compartment stud.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. Install the upper quarter panel weatherstrip (1).
  6. Install the weatherstrip push-in retainers to the upper quarter panel.
  7. Install the fuel pocket. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Door Replacement .
  8. Install the wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
  9. Install the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  10. Install the rear tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement .

    11. Object Number: 1244940 Size: SH
  11. Install the door lock pillar seal (1).

    12. Object Number: 1244932 Size: SH
  12. Install the upper quarter panel seal (1).
